Edie enjoys travel, making things work, and reading cheap pulp detective novels. |

Paul Auguston is an accomplished photographer, videographer, editor and director specializing in promotion, training and project documentation. A keen interest in his subject matter fuels Paul’s creativity and results in remarkably persuasive visual communication. Dog-sledding, mountain climbing, and exploring Egyptian pyramids are Paul’s passion. |

"See What We See"
Or… “So what’s up with the eclipse/pyramid theme and the double name on your logo?”
In January 1979, a total eclipse of the sun traced a dramatic path across the heart of North America. Paul Auguston and Edie French (co-founders of LOCATION IMAGES/iDream.tv), received a grant from the University of Minnesota Astronomy Department to document their scientific expedition confirming the origins of the Universe through solar observations. The only film crew to successfully capture footage in sub-zero temperatures, LOCATION IMAGES was born. Soon after, CODA Corp. contacted LOCATON IMAGES to produce a docu-drama fairytale, testing the limits of their intrepid talents with underwater photography in the Bahamas, wind storms in German forests, and burning fields and mountain climbing in Italy. The resulting piece toured in festivals around the world. The crew has been chasing eclipses ever since.
In 2005, with increased access to the internet and the emergence of streamlined distribution, LOCATION IMAGES expanded its market focus, leveraging this new power to help its growing cadre of loyal clients tell their stories to an ever-wider audience. Pairing dreams with the newfound distribution potential of the internet – and the availability of the “.tv” extention (designated originally for the island of Tuovolo) – iDream.tv was born.
