PROJECT NAME: Commercial Animal Waste Technician (CAWT) Certification Series

CLIENT ORGANIZATION: Minnesota Department of Agriculture

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

We collaborated with the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA)  to produce a series of eight scripted training modules, plus three field interviews with experts, as an update to their online Commercial Animal Waste Technician (CAWT)  licensing course.

The goal of the project was to create a collection of thorough, clear, and engaging videos to be used as comprehensive training for CAWTs across the state of Minnesota.

The eight training modules included field footage acquired in 100 degree weather and core learning objectives recorded with subject matter experts in the iDream.tv studio with teleprompter and green screen in order accommodate the widest amount of information and necessary graphics.

To reinforce the authenticity of the training experience, our crew went on site in the heart of Minnesota farmland to interview site managers about best safety practices for an additional series of three videos.

The series lives on the MDA website, and is a required component of obtaining CAWT certification in the state of Minnesota.

To see the full series, visit the MDA training page.

iDream.tv Producer Paul Auguston notes, “the really interesting part of the project was going out to the farms, and seeing the connection the farmers and the CAWTs have with the land…and getting a better sense of their stewardship of the land, IMG_6041and how they manage the land and the greater environmental impact of their farming practices.”

Alison Rossow, Recertification coordinator from MDA says, “from beginning to end of our production of 2 hours of training, the professionalism and quality of iDream.tv made the project a roaring success. Beginning with script development, project management, and correspondence with Edie French, to the on site filming, direction, adventure, and encouragement of Paul Auguston and ending with the editing skill and visual artistry of Luis and Ryan. The resulting video has astounded the industry and raised the bar for visual media at our agency. The contract was completed easily with all deliverables and reports easily given on time.”
