JULIAN OF NORWICH Revelations of Divine Love

Performance/Event Documentation

Julian was born in 1342, and believed to be the first European woman to publish a book – Revelations of Divine Love. She experienced the Hundred Years War, three outbreaks of the Black Plague, and the Peasants Revolt. In the midst of great turmoil, Julian spoke words of comfort, hope, forgiveness, and revelation. She speaks to our time as well.

This stunning one-woman show is performed by Linda Loving and filmed in Norwich England in the cell where Julian lived. The DVD includes bonus feature interviews with Ms. Loving, Paula Cooey, Professer of Religous Studies, Macalaster College and Father Llewellyn, Keeper of the Shrine.
